About
About Hoardwise
Hoardwise is an independent reference on gold and bitcoin. It is written for readers who want the facts in order, and who would rather hear what is uncertain than be handed a conclusion.
What the name means
A hoard is an old word for keeping something valuable out of circulation until later. Wise is the part we hold ourselves to. The site exists to explain how two scarce assets work, and to show where the claims about them go beyond the evidence.
Who it is for
Hoardwise is for readers who have heard both names and want the background in order. That includes students of money and economic history, people who are about to make a financial decision and want the vocabulary first, and anyone who finds the long history of gold as interesting as the short history of bitcoin.
How we write
- Plain sentences. If a shorter word works, we use it.
- Terms are defined where they first appear, and the glossary repeats the definitions.
- Dates are given as the source supports them, and approximate dates are marked.
- We avoid superlatives and slogans. An asset does not need a headline to be worth understanding.
- Where something is uncertain or disputed, we say so in the sentence that makes the claim.
What we will not do
- We do not forecast prices, and we do not say that any event will move a price.
- We do not tell anyone what to buy, sell, hold, or store, and we do not give personal financial advice.
- We do not accept sponsored entries, affiliate links, or payment for coverage.
- We do not publish testimonials, reviews, or statistics without a fixed definition or a dated, public source.
Corrections
We fix errors when we find them, and we note the change on the page where it matters. To send a correction, write to hello@btcxau.me with the page name and the line in question. Include a source if you have one.
Scope and limits
Hoardwise covers gold and bitcoin as financial and historical subjects. It does not review any particular exchange, product, or service, and it does not speak for any company. Nothing on this site is financial, legal, or medical advice.
